Hmmm no song title coming to mind

Hello all,
Have been working a week and that has meant less emailing etc. A steep learning curve but I am really enjoying it and there is travel involved as well - heading to Edinburgh next week, and if I can swing it, go up on Sunday and spend some time looking around the city and then to work on Monday from there.
And it is my birthday, so I suppose I should have thought of that as a heading but there you go. Went to Oxford on the weekend. Spent time at my housemates family home. Enjoyed hanging out with his parents during the evening - lovely people, and I enjoyed the home cooking! Oxford is very stately with its emphasis on education but I did get to see a chalkboard that Einstein used and a camera that Laurence of Arabia used, and one that CS Lewis used as well - quite the photographer apparently. Once again great architecture and I am hanging out for a pay packet so I can buy some amazing stuff.
Going to try and stay around home this weekend (birthday and all) and go out with some Aussies I have become friends with. Maybe even find another place to live as I have to be out of here on 25th Nov. Once again things keep moving on and changing. I have moments of enjoying that and moments where I just want to have some certainty! Either way I am in an amazing country having fun so hey life's not bad at all.
Hope everyone is well there, and keep emailing me - love to hear what is happening back home. Have said goodbye to at least 2 people over here who are going to the Aussie summer - and i am extremely jealous. Daylight savings has finished here, so it is gettting dark and I must have been crazy to go winter to winter! Apart from that it is Guy Fawkes this weekend and while I keep saying they are letting crackers off for my birthday I am pretty sure the gig is up!
Anyway cheerio (that is english for goodbye!)
