Good end to the week

This has been a pretty up and down week, but had a good job interview with NatWest, and have heard of a possible room for rent for a month. Both will help with getting a bit of stability. I will then be able to find somewhere else while i get into a work routine.
About to catch a train to Brighton which is a nice seaside town. So will take some piccies. More enthused about having my own room and bathroom!
Oh and went and saw Little Miss Sunshine - HIGHLY RATED! GREAT! AWESOME! FUNNY and REFRESHING! So everyone has to see it - it will crack you up!
Apart from that I got a chinese massage which was sooo worth it. Carrying a backpack around all the time takes it's toll.
Have a good weekend everyone and Bren/JP thinking of you guys!

What goes up...

Ok, so this entry is a bit of an up and down one. For those of you who have been over here and had to put up with finding accomodation - I am so over it. Over sharing with others in a YHA, and over having to send off emails, make calls etc. This is crazy - there has to be an easier way. So there is my blah. Think I will catch 'Little Miss Sunshine' (ironic) today and maybe the Rodin exhibition.
Off to Brighton - booked my own room there - yay! and it is by the sea so whether the weather is crappy or not - who cares it will be away from the buzz of London!
Had a phone interview which I think went well. Will see how it pans out, and whether it results in the face to face interview. On the upside it is sunny today so yay for us here! Not hot, mind you but sunny :)
OK, better go and grab a coffee - almost lunchtime and I haven't had one so that may be why I am so grumpy :)

Photos

Ok, hopefully these will upload. A few photos of London just to prove I am here. One of the highlights for me of Mdm Toussad's and a picture of Paris.

Back In London

Ok, back at Dodgy Dan's internet cafe and have time to write. Had a great time on Sat night in Paris. Went out with a guy called Dieta, last name Brummer - just kidding for those Home and Away fans. He was German and in a similar situation as I am in London, except he is in Paris. We wandered for a while and I hauled him into a Pub (they mainly have Brasserie's in Paris). Struck up a conversation with a guy at the bar who I thought was Irish but he was Canadian (close :P) and he had an Aussie guy with him who was also on a tour - BUSABOUT. I liked them right away as they helped us get a discount by saying we were on their tour (nice one!). So we chatted and we were joined by another Aussie girl who believe it or not was born in Wagga (for those of you who don't know that is country NSW and where I was born).
As it turned out, she was actually born at The Rock (outside Wagga) and had been taught by close family friends! Classic. So needless to say that they were a cool bunch and as Dieta had his heart set on Karaoke, we all kicked onto a French Karaoke bar.
As you know I am a total stranger to Karaoke (not!) and after my farewell Sydney performance in Ding Dong Dang I was pumped to Rock Paris! So Lee (canadian) and I dragged out a classic - Wanted Dead or Alive - old Bon Jovi. With an air guitar interlude, we engaged the audience. After much applause and many merci's (thakyou's) we sat down and I was just getting started.
So Alissa (Aussie) and I then performed a rendition of Landslide by Dixie Chicks. We walked around the room yet I sensed the audience was turning a little which can happen when you are stumbling through the audience. And we had to go up after some guy did a popular song - which must have been like the French "Tainted Love' or 'C'mn Eileen'. Anyway we parted ways at abuot 3ish, after probably too many beers!
The next morning I got up rather early and went to a book fair I found in my guide book. Was tempted to buy Tom Sawyer in French, but resisted. Was druelling over the antique books they had there. So sat in a park with coffee and criossant and watched as all of the parents took care of their kids as they learned to ride etc. Fell in love with the place. So I am determined to learn french now.
Apart from all that I am still looking for a place to live, and work is still in a holding pattern.

Paris

Just had a full day in Paris and I have to say it was awesome. Went to the Eiffel Tour of course but didn't wait to go up it. Maybe will do that on another occasion. Have started speaking with a French accent now - it is such a sexy language. Also went to the Arch de Triumph or whatever they call it, and of course the Louvre. All highly recommended and you can't really explain how good it is and do it justice. Needless to say the Mona Lisa does exist! and she is one small painting in one big room.
Looking forward to having a shower and when I have more credit on the internet I will write more but that's it for now - au revoir!
