The beauty of the Lakes District

As much as I love London, I always have a need to get into nature. And the Lakes District is amazingly compatibarea it's this need , a match made in heaven. I will post pictures on my return to Oz, but the rolling green hills, the different spring colours and the mountains create a peaceful beautiful picture. And in response to this I have literally taken close to a thousand :). It is worth mentioning thought the day before I thought this place to be camera shy as I stacked it while walking down the road to HillTop of Beatrix Potter fame. I came crashing down (ihaven't fallen over in years) smashing my camera and my left knee in the process. Luckily for me I did have an audience - a tour bus driver who wasn't sure what to do. So with a sore right ankle, skinned up left knee through my jeans, I took a moment to check my camera and realized that the UV cover had saved my lense - a miracle. Luckily there is no sun in the UK ;) and my camera was still clicking, so it survived. In my typical let's see why this happened I realized - left knee - spiritual progress and right ankle, practical flexibility, changing direction. Oh and the fact that I didn't see the bump in the road- stupidity and let's get grounded again Missy! Meditation that night got me back in my body and Its all good now. After 6 hrs trekking yesterday another sunny day greats me today.

The Magic of Harry Potter and one woman's imagination

I am truly a child at heart and yesterday I was like a big kid in paradise when I travelled to Leavesden studios to WB studios to the Harry Potter studio tour. Kids big and small came from all over the world, some kids in their hog warts uniform to walk through the Great Hall, down Diagon Alley and to sit on the Knights Bus. What thrills me most is that all of these things are a translation of one woman's story. That set makers, costume designers and prop people,( technical terms I am sure) with their creative talent produced creatures, sets and the most amazing special effects that will be remembered for generations. Absolutely amazing and gives me goose bumps when I recall it. The limitless nature of our imagination is really something to behold, and seeing a series of books translated into movies with such intricate details - well it blows my mind. Magic is real after all ( as if I ever doubted it)
