Don't play the conversion game

Ok been a bit of a slacker with the blogging but hey, I get confused easily and when I send emails I think everyone should just know what has been happening. Staying at St Pancras YHA (I keep thinking it is St.Pancreas!) Great facilities, but not as social as I had pictured hostels to be. In a bit of a routine - I get up have breakfast and go to Tottenham Court Rd to a Mohammed Dodgy Dan internet cafe (but hey it is only £1 per hour) and do all my emails, check out accomodation etc. then off to Nero's for a coffee. Then it is off walking around London. Chris - the shoes I got from you are awesome - no tired feet since I arrived and that's after walking around for hours.
Today I am going to see St.Paul's Cathedral, and some wax people in Mdm Toussad's and the Planetarium (only planets here not wax people). Then to Greenwich to see a share place. So a busy day. Oh and the point to the heading of this BLOG was that I have been subjected to a lot of whinges about how expensive London is and my advice to travellers or those considering coming over (or for those who would love to visit their friend!) is have your budget in pounds not AUD! It certainly helps, and saves you spending time worrying about how much everything costs. Nothing is too horrendous when that is the case. I have an American in my room and I think she is unhappy mainly because for once she is on the losing team when it comes to conversion. Welcome to the world that Aussies live in!! That's my tip from the traveller!
