I've landed...
Yes I have made it here. Arrived yesterday and feeling better after being quite jet lagged. Mr Bean was at the customs, (some weird looking guy of course not the real thing). Went on the underground (it is only one level!)And after catching a bus that took me the opposite way to where I wanted to go.But that had me learn the transport system real fast. Have learnt that you can't talk on the Public Transport - everyone seems silently remote. Not that Aussies are much friendlier, but I think we are noisier.
Thanks to my friends who bought me the A to Z which has come in handy BIG TIME.
Went to Buckingham Palace today and got there in time for the changing of the guard which was interesting. A lot of men in fluffy black hats and the band set up and played Dancing Queen and an ABBA medley. Wasn't sure which part of Oxford St I was in. Was quite classic. Awed by the statues and sheer size of the palace. Was certianly a tourist attraction but I supposed i have to get used to the crowds.
Green Park which is next to the palace lived up to it's name. Very beautiful and lush. And today's weather - overcast but I think that that is good weather so as far as I am concerned it was a sunny day.
